Angel half? I was born mortal, and accepted being chosen to ascend as an angel about ... oh, 70 years ago.
Where I'm from, it's not exactly a rare power as something people don't tend to talk about. It's called the "Yin-yang eye" in Chinese.

I"m a fairly weak projecting empath, so you need not worry about any ... emotion leakage. I require physical contact to convey emotions, that way. I try not to eavesdrop, so ... unless it's a fairly strong or abrupt emotion (like surprise or pain), I tend to not 'feel' it through my shields.
