Don't Arizona educators have anything better to do than start sexual relationships with their underage students? Judging by the news today, apparently not. I just don't get it...how...as an adult...could these women/men be so lonely that they have to try and get some from a teenager?

Loneliness probably plays a part but I wonder if it isn't more about power. The teacher, by default, has the upper hand in these situations. She/he is the authority. She/he is older. Maybe the teachers think they can't get hurt because they're the ones in control. Joke's on them because now they're going to prison!

I've known a couple guys who had sexual relationships with their (male) teachers in high school. They loved it. (And I'm sure the teachers loved it even more.)

I know some people feel that way, but to me it's one of those boundaries that should not be crossed. The teacher has too much power and the kids are. . . kids. I didn't consider myself a "kid" at 16 or 17, but I look back now and realize how immature I really was. Now that I work with the teens, the issue is even more scandalous to me.
