I agree 100, 1000% with this entire article, but one thing especially stood out to me:

Gizmodo (before they went batshit insane Apple fanboys) had a nice, RIAA boycott in 2007 and had some great articles too.

I was a little shocked at the amount myself... and that is only the information within a few mouse clicks away. It is probably double that at least...
