It sounds like you got screwed...when you have a poopie diaper in your hands, you can't really watch 100 other things. Are there other day care centers around your area? Get out there and let them know you are available. I would also talk to Kim and ask he if she would be willing to give you a job reference.
Don't bother re-directing yourself to God. You need a job and unless you know a day care center that's in a church (which there could be) then you need to get going and find a new position. It sounds like you are good at what you do, so there will be a job out there for you.
