So here's the plan to make myself comfortable in this foreign environment:

#1) Remove the shoes. And the work clothes.
#2) Turn the television on; it tends to make any environment more familiar.
#3) Concentrate on the cats for a while.
#4) Drink a good bit of whiskey.
#5) Call you once I get drunk enough to cry and carry on.
