WHAT THE GIBBERING FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? I'm even more determined to stay on XP now, and when that's no longer an option for whatever reason, I'll switch to Linux with an emulator so I can keep gaming ( Read more... )

Oh sonuvafuckingBITCH. I thought just hiding the 3035883 update would stop it from doing that. OF COURSE NOT because there, sitting on my laptop, was the damn $WINDOWS.~BT fucking folder, at a slim 4 GB in size.

Luckily the site you linked to works like a charm. Now I have to check my desktop and Mike's box, AND send it to Patrick to make sure his laptop is clean.

It's a fuckin' VIRUS.

Laptop had a 4 GB $WindowsBloat folder on it... my box had a 7 GB folder. No idea how big the one on Mike's box is. Sent Patrick the instructions for cleaning up his box, but of course I doubt he will....

That's just crazy.

I've taken the pledge, when 7 reaches end of life, it's gonna be Linux time. Seriously. I'm over Windows and I refuse to "upgrade" to that clusterfuck they're calling 10. There's already a "major upgrade" to it, so now it's 10.1 -- yeah, I'm really going to put that load of stinking shit on all my boxes RIGHT FUCKIN' NOW!

Whew. Doing the KB file delete was what I finally ended up a couple weeks ago on my Surface, when I got sick to fucking death of the POS notification popping up, but more importantly, when that fucking piece of rapetastic evil tried to install itself, WITHOUT my permission, by trying to sneak through when I was allowing updates to 8.1.

What sucks now is - while successfuly getting rid of the files, I somehow fucked up my administrative privileges, and OneDrive is now cocked to a fare thee well, and I'm locked out of making changes to a lot of stuff now and it's my own damn fault. And I don't know how to fix it.

Anyone want to buy a Surface? Because I'm fucking exhausted from trying to beat this goddamn thing into submission.
