What is the fuckin deal??? Why do unattractive white boys keep running around shooting up colleges and schools and movie theatres? Then they have the sheer pussiness to off themselves before giving the cops a fair chance.

Don't get me wrong, I can sympathize with feeling like you'll never have anyone else in a romantic way -- I felt that way all through high school. But my god, you don't fix it by deciding to kill everyone you see!

It's bizarrely impressive. About 10% of violent crimes are done by women, but I can't ever recall hearing of a woman commit a mass killing, and only a handful have been serial killers. And blacks have higher rates of committing violent crimes than whites (and correspondingly higher rates of being victims), but the commit disproportionately few mass killings.

I suppose women don't go for that "get spectacular revenge and go in a blaze of glory" thing.

OTOH, the death rate from mass killings is infinitesimal compared to every other risk of life.

I believe there's been a total of one, singular, female mass murderer in the last thirty years...if memory serves, it was the woman who shot her children and then herself in the welfare office after her application was denied. I could be wrong about that, and I really hope someone looks it up.

Female serial killers overwhelmingly tend to be "angel of mercy" types, usually nurses working in hospices or other caregiving fields, and a surprising amount of those were only caught because of repeatedly appearing on insurance paperwork.

Though there is more people than I'd expect who kill their children before either running away or killing themselves. That can't be an optimal strategy under any circumstances...
