I never make major life decisions based on a single reason.  Yes, I came up to Seattle for love.  I also genuinely adored -- and still adore -- this city.  However, I decided to move out of SoCal for largely financial reasons.  I didn't like the idea of being a single teacher in SoCal living on my own.

It's not just LAUSD. My district just told me that everyone is getting Reduction in Force letters this spring.

I could very well be fucked. I mean I work in an inner city school where most people don't want to work and they are about to start laying people off.
