Luke Cage Episode 3
The story in unfolding and I'm now wishing I could binge the rest of the night.
Cotton had a bad day. Luke invaded his safe houses and Fort Knox, taking some cash to keep Pops' open while leaving the rest for the police, Domingo just declared war and knows about Diamondback, and he's fighting with Mariah. Not a good time to be Cotton.
On the other hand, the dirty cop on his payroll just killed Chico so that loose end is tied up.
I love watching Misty figuring things out and I can't wait for her confrontation with Luke. The scene at the precinct after Luke invaded Fort Knox was hilarious with the uniform cops walking in the background, one after the other, with duffels of money. Nice sight gag and the scene holds if it didn't get noticed.
I really enjoyed the funeral parlor scene. Another great moment between Cotton and Luke. Luke wants Pops to have a funeral befitting his ingrity while Cotton believes they should spare no expense. Each wants to honor Pops in his own way and the contradiction in the parallel is captivating. I'm really loving these two.
Also, poor Connie. I don't think she'd survive a rocketlauncher + building collapse no matter how fast Luke covered her body with his.
Finally, I'm having a ball with the series so far but I am more than ready for Claire to show up. Come on Night Nurse!
