I have never participated in such a contest, and I doubt I ever will, but I think that if I would, I would just try to give my best, but in a personal manner, according to my own criteria, not to those of the people who decide to win the contest. And if then I get a few favourable comments I am happy, particularly if the comments are really thoughtful and helpful and appreciate what's best about the story. And then I'd lean back and watch the others win and not be jealous at all.

It's not so much envy or jealousy, but rather the feeling of being completely outclassed that's soooo intimidating. For instance, if this was tennis, it'll like me trying out for Wimbledon when I can't even hit a ball with a racquet.

The KakaSaku comm is really cool and SUPER supportive place, so I really don't have anything to be afraid of. It's just my inner insecurities that's going crazy right now.

I think the fact that you're so excited by your kink and CONSUMED by thoughts of it is a very promising sign indeed. Very promising! The participants and their kinks are supposed to be posted on 2/13. I'm curious to see what everyone was assigned. From what I understand, ALC was given a pretty interesting kink (J-Pop called it a doozy), so I'm especially curious to see what she got. Then again, you could give ALC a sow's ear and she'll come back with a glam bag to die for (her talents amaze me!).

I'm still humming with happiness from your last KakaSaku ficlet. I'm very much looking forward to what you'll come up with for this challenge!

>.< i'm burnt out from the Poe Challenge, so I thought i'd be selfish and just sit back and read everyone else's work. xD besides, i've been working on small KakaSaku drabbles/oneshots on the side lately. I've been doing Virgin Chronicles with catssyclaws, and then i did some drabbles for aorin107 and slinky, and a oneshot for moldy. i just wanted to take it easy this month. plus, i'm HORRIBLE at writing smut. i have this habit of writing fluff more than smut, so it's been hard for me to expand from it lately. =/
