Let's Play United Nations.

I definitely love learning a new language; I really think it's fun. So if you would ask me how many language do I speak, I have to say a lot. Hahaha! Why? The question didn't specify if it has to be spoken fluently or not, so I have to include the languages I know of even a little.

So let's go enumerate the languages I speak.

I am a Filipino so I speak Tagalog. DUHHH!! Hahaha.

Ako si Red. Pilipino ako kaya malamang marunong akong mag Tagalog!
I am Red. I am a Filipino so obviously and naturally I can speak Tagalog!

I also know how to speak a Filipino dialect. That dialect is Bisayan dialect. Most people in Visayas and Mindanao speak that dialect. My parents and my siblings can speak fluently. Unfortunately I think it's only me who can only speak a bit. Well, I can understand them but I can't speak fluently like them.

Di ako makasabot ng bisaya. Ah, makasabot man ako pala. Gamay lang.
(I don't understand Bisaya. Oh actually l really I do but only a bit.)

Since all Filipinos study English language in school, it has become the Filipino's second language.

I was influenced by animes, mangas and Japanese movies so I became interested in Nihongo or Japanese language. So far, I think I am pretty fluent in speaking this language. I have been studying this language for more than five years now. I can construct complex sentences and understand some scenes in Japanese dramas even though there are no subs. I can also read their alphabet. I just need to study more on my Kanji (Chinese characters) and my vocabulary. I can't express myself that much in Nihongo because I lack vocabulary. Maybe if I would have some effective Japanese dictionary with me, I could master this language by next year. Hahaha!

I have no Japanese language installed in my PC yet so I am going to write a Japanese in Romaji.
Watashi no namae wa Red desu. Watashi no Nihongo no sensei ga watashi ni namae no Ren wo agemashita. Dakara moshi watashi ga Nihonjin nara, watashi no namae wa Ren desu. Kakkoi desu ne? Dakedo... Ren wa otoko no namae nandeshou? Watashi na onna desu kedo... Hahaha!
(My name is Red. My Japanese teacher gave me the name Ren. So if ever I'm a Japanese, my name would be Ren. Cool isn't it? But... Ren is a boy's name... and I am a girl. Hahaha!)

I had formal lessons on the French Language. I enrolled in an University Center and spent my one whole month on college for studying French. Oh my god French is so fun. But pronouncing and listening is way too hard. French people are fast speakers, I couldn't keep up with them! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to continue studying French after my month classes so I came to forget some of those sentences and words I enthusiastically learned. Ahahah.

It's a good thing that in my high school, we have a French language elective. I might get good grades on my elective since I've had a background on this language. Too bad there was no Japanese language elective. If there was such elective, I would have got a 100% grade. LOL kidding. Why am I so proud? I hate myself.

Je suis Red Dapitan. Bonjour.
Je suis comme je suis.
(I am Red Dapitan. Hello.)
(I am who I am.)

♥ I also tried learning Korean language but I gave it up because I found it hard. Annyeong haseyo!

♥ I also tried learning Spanish language but because I thought it was boring, I didn't continue studying it. And after all, I thought that our language is deprived from some Spanish words since we were under the colony of the Spaniards for 300 years back to the old times so studying Spanishi language is just like learning Filipino language all over again. Hahaha. LOL I'm crazy. Hola! Thanks Dora.

♥ I was taught by my Half-Filipino Half-Chinese friend Hana Chua some Chinese expressions like Ni Hao, Wo Shi Red and stuff -- the basic ones. I might learn Mandarin soon too... maybe after I have mastered Japanese or French language. Hahaha. But I heard Mandarin is very hard to learn? Is that so?

Well, learning a language is really hard after all. But then I again tell you, it's very fun. Learning a new language is fun. Well my silly reason before is I could tell my most private feelings and mock and badmouth my enemies in the language they don't understand but I learned that it has also helped me in my memorizing skills. I am really forgetful, you know. It was a miracle that I was still able to remember those Japanese words. Hahaha. LOL kidding.

How about you? What languages are you trying to learn? Isn't learning a new language fun for you?
