But oh, he's trying and like Haley I really appreciate it. I love how you're progressing things at this pace. With Haley's hesitancy but her slowly warming up to him and Nathan's wanting to use all he can to his advantage but also being wary of not pushing her too far.
And oh, the brothers! AMAZING scene. Love how Haley saw the awkward man-hug. Love that the two were able to help each other out and how touched Luke was by Nathan's comment and how moved Nathan was by Luke's words.
Hee, I'm glad you liked the L/N scene as that was totally my favorite in this chapter. Those two really do have a lot to offer each other, and it's nice to see that they're finally in a place where maybe they can realize and admit that to themselves.
Even when they were apart, it was still about them together. Because no matter how they (especially Haley) wanted to make like they were moving on or whatever, it was still all about the other person. She was angry, but she never let go of him even for a second. And now, maybe, just maybe, she is ready to let go of some of that anger and start to heal and move on.
Yeah, that was just about right from Dan, huh? It's like, you just know that if they'd been alone, it would've been a thousand times worse, but what Dan gave was still utterly awful. For Nathan to finally learn to brush that off will be a huge thing for him. Well, maybe never brush it off exactly, but to catalogue it for what it is and not let it affect everything he does.
Wonderful Update!!! I am so glad you are back at it Brynne! It definitely seems like Haley is getting back into to feeling closer to Nathan...and as much as her questions are going to suck...hopefully it will get them to where they need to be. I loved the Luke and Nathan interaction :) Please update soon! I am so glad your back!
Firstly... I'm getting around to reading Approaching Normal, I swear. Life is just being a bitch and getting in the way but I'm super excited for it. I've been wanting to read this update for 2 days and let me tell you that knowing it was sitting there waiting to be read but I had no time to read it... torture! But alas... I am slacking off at work right now and giving myself some 'Brynne Time'. hehe
