Oh sweetheart, I am so sorry. ~enormous hugs~ It's so hard to say goodbye to a loved one, but you definitely did the right thing. She's fortunate to have had such a loving home and caring owners who made sure she wouldn't suffer.

Boo to emergency repairs, but yay for catching it when you did and I'm glad there's a forseeable end to needful repairs. Thank goodness for tax breaks for houses, because they are an awful lot of work.

I've had to push the house repairs back a couple of months. The weather's been so unstable that we've decided to wait for summer. It'll be hot, but the atmosphere will have stabilized, at least.
