hey, you wrote on anna's livejournal about the madison zine fest and knowing a few people that went. i was there and thought maybe i met up with them. what zines/distros/etc are they a part of?

maybe you can make it next year because i'm pretty sure it will happen again. ah, success!

they were six girls from the mpls area, with out of this town distro.

aww! thank you! i'm ashlee, the girl who runs out of this town distro and organized the trip for the six of us. i don't know if you and i talked at all, it might have just been my friends. i know a lot of them were wandering around talking to everyone.

hey dear - i normally dont do this, but i'm a friend of audrey (goodbyeenemy) and she was just telling me that you were applying to mcad. i live in hong kong, and dont know very many people in minneapolis, but i'm moving there next year and am going to school at mcad. i went there for a summer program, but dont really know anything beyond that about the city and all. i was just wondering if i could add you and we could chat a wee bit?

hey love, aite i reckon my biggest question about minneapolis is ... what the hell do you DO for like clubs and parties and what not - and is there a good music scene? ... *thinks* oh and also, are you applying to mcad as well or no?

i go to a lot of shows at places like th mala, a small, illegal venue in the backroom of a bike shop. but, for more "organized" shows, there are clubs - like first avenue and the quest. there are parties, usually a few that i know of every few weeks. i mean, once you've spent some time here, you'll meet people who will know what's going on.

personally, i think there's a really good music scene. i go to a lot of punk/crust/whatever shows & i really really love the kids that go to the shows & the bands that play. it's definitly a community.

i did apply to mcad & i was accepted.
i'm just waiting to hear if i got scholarship money or anything.
