On to other news.. my mom keeps complaining about things happening in New Orleans, yet she continues to watch the news. Why doesn't she just change the channel? I understand this is all very tragic, but I just don't want to hear about it anymore. I haven't got to hear any other news because of this hurricane. Today in history class someone said that there are already 3 hurricanes and 1 tropical storm off the coast of Florida. Now, whether or not that is true, it angers me that I didn't get it hear about it because there is nothing else on the news but hurricane Katrina.
Now I would like to complain, YET AGAIN! I went and got gas the other day. It was $2.74 a gallon. The next day, it was up to $2.98. I'm glad I filled my tank up almost all the way because today, this morning, it was $2.98, and this afternoon, it went up to $3.09. I remember when we were complaining about gas prices being almost $2.00 a gallon, and that was really not too long ago, before the beginning of summer I think. Now look at gas prices. It takes almost 100 bucks to fill the truck when it's on empty and 50 bucks to fill the car when it's on empty. IT USED TO BE 50 TO FILL THE TRUCK. I really need to get me a job soon.. If these gas prices go up any higher, I'm just either going to have to find or invent a new mode of transportation, because it's ridiculous to have to pay this much for gas. I mean, don't the people who're raising the gas prices have to put gas in their cars too? Why aren't they complaining?
