[ CHARACTER INFORMATION ]

Name: Chika Daimon
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Fandom: Digimon Savers
Timeline: Post-Epilogue
History: http://digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Kristy_Damon - Says Kristy due to dub names, but using original name because I like it better and am playing from the Japanese version.

Character Personality:

Chika is a rather energetic, friendly young woman. She cares deeply about her friends and family, and is always willing to add new people to that list of friends. She also dislikes seeing other people fighting, especially if both of those who are fighting are either family members or friends. If she had it her way, no one would ever fight each other ever again, at least in the physical sense of the word. As it is, while she does care about all of her family members, when she was a kid she used to fight with her older brother Masaru a lot of the time, for various different reasons like most siblings do. However, while Chika hates fighting, she does understand that there are times when fighting to protect people needs to be done, and is willing to fight if she’s needed rather than letting friends of hers fight alone.

Chika has a bit of a nurturing side to her. During the few incidents when there was a need to take care of baby digimon during the series, Chika immediately flocked to taking care of said baby digimon. While she still had help from others, she was one of the few people who weren’t freaking out about them during the time when they needed to take care of more than one. And she really liked taking care of the little baby digimon a lot, and it wasn’t just the ‘playing with them’ part of it either. It was everything related to taking care of a baby digimon. Chika’s also protective of those who can’t defend themselves, even when she has no real way of protecting the person being attacked on her own in any meaningful way other than possibly block strikes to them with her own body.

While Chika is mostly confident in her abilities, she is sometimes a bit insecure. When she first visited Touma’s home, she found herself quickly embarrassed about everything that she didn’t know in regards to how she should act there, and she really wanted to not feel like an idiot in front of Touma. Well, that and how Masaru was acting around the two of them. As far as Chika was concerned there, Masaru was embarrassing her like that on purpose and she ended up running out of Touma’s home in anger. She had a bit of a crush on Touma at the time, although she didn’t show any signs of that after that incident, so it probably passed pretty quickly. She’d probably be just as likely to be embarrassed around someone else that she ends up having a crush on in the future though.

Chika also has a tendency to make sure she gets her way. If she thinks that she’s in the right about something that needs to be done and you are the one arguing with her about it? Most of the time, she is going to win that argument. Or she’ll end up going off and dragging you to whatever it she that she wants to do before there’s even a chance for there to be an argument. Either way, if Chika really wants to do something, it’s going to happen one way or the other as long as it’s physically possible.

While this next part of Chika’s personality wasn’t shown in canon, it’s something that’s logical to assume and counts as a rather significant part of my portrayal of Chika, so I’m putting it here anyway. Chika suffers from some rather big issues in regards to Masaru leaving for the Digital World. Namely, that she’s dealing with a big sense of abandonment due to suddenly not having him in her life after he had been there constantly for ten years, always looking out for her. And then he was gone. Even having her father back home after being gone for her entire life, she still missed Masaru deeply, and was angry with any and all thoughts of him. And it just got worse, with her getting angrier and angrier with him as the years passed. So yeah, she doesn’t have a high opinion of her brother at all.

Character Abilities: Chika has the ability to use digisoul to evolve Piyomon into his higher level forms, in addition to making her punches hit harder and being able to protect herself from attacks. Unlike most people in the show, she managed to do this without a digivice and still have Piyomon be in complete, sane control of his actions. It’s also likely that her father started teaching her how to defend herself in a fist-fight, as Masaru used to fight with a lot of gang members when he was on earth and it’s logical that they might go after Chika once they realized that Masaru is gone.

Character Weaknesses: Despite having been taught a bit of self-defense by her father after Masaru left for the digital world, Chika is not naturally a fighter like her brother and father are. As such, during fights, at least earlier on, she’d have a few issues with being able to properly gauge her strength and exactly what she is capable of handling. Or rather, she has a hard time being able to accurately gauge when a fight is actually over and might think that one or two punches back might be enough when in reality she would need to use a lot more force to stop a fight. Her protective and nurturing instincts might also cause her to not care about her own wellbeing if there are children or other people who can’t defend themselves to protect, even at great harm to herself if the situation is deadly enough.

Her feelings about her brother also cause her to snap at people who mention him, which causes some minor problems with her parents and every other named character from her series that she interacts with, pretty much.

[ SOUL CAMPAIGN SECTION ]

What are the abilities that your character will retain in Soul Campaign? The only thing ability-wise that Chika will be keeping in Soul Campaign is her brief knowledge of self-defense that was taught to her by her father, minus the ability to use her digisoul.

What are the weaknesses that your character will lose or gain in Soul Campaign? In addition to the weaknesses that were outlined in the Weaknesses section, Chika will also be made quite a bit weaker by the fact that she can no longer use her Digisoul to augment her strength. Her punches and kicks won’t be able to hit whoever she is being forced to fight anywhere near as hard, so she’d be pretty much reduced to the strength of a normal teenage girl.

Also, her feelings of anger towards Masaru might give her a bit of a problem in the game, since Masaru is there. Even though he doesn’t remember abandoning her and the rest of his family, the very fact that he is there will make things difficult for her, as she’d be feeling angry a lot more often than she would back home. She also might have some difficulty working with Masaru if they ever needed to go together to do something, especially if it was a mission.

[ MEISTER ONLY SECTION ]

Why your character should be a Meister: Chika is a rather strong willed girl who would only really take orders from someone she trusts to know what’s best. She’s also pretty intelligent and perceptive, as she was able to tell that the Aquilamon that was attacking in episode 13 of the series happened to be her friend Piyomon just by seeing the attack on the TV screen. As such, she’d probably be a lot more useful in a fight as the one who’s looking at the situation in hand and trying to make the best decision on how to go around solving it, as opposed to being someone who has to follow someone else’s decisions in battle.

Meister Ability: Calming Wavelength, Moe Soul, Soul BFF

[ SOUL INFORMATION ]

Soul Description: energetic, kind, nurturing, protective, determined, confident

Soul Appearance: Chika’s soul is a mix of bright pink and orange with pigtails and a wide smile on her soul’s face.

[ SAMPLES ]

First Person:
Hey Everyone! Chika here! I’m kinda just wondering if there’s, well, anything fun to do here. I mean, I know we were brought here for a reason and all, but well…

[She pauses, looking around into the screen for a moment, before sighing.]

It looks like we might be here for a while. And I don’t want to burn out or anything with training all the time. I heard a lot about how that can happen to people from both my Dad and one of my friends back home…

And punching things isn’t really my idea of fun anyway, unlike some other people I could mention.

So yeah. I definitely need to find something to do. Anyone have any ideas?

Third Person:

Chika sighed as she lay on the couch of the Noguchi’s living room, lazily lying back as she stared at the ceiling. Ikuto was nice enough to give her to couch while he collapsed onto the floor, groaning a bit in exhaustion. His younger sister was sure a handful, but she could tell that once again she had more energy than her friend did in dealing with the kids. Ikuto’s parents were going to be home from that science conference soon, and while Chika probably didn’t have to stay there anymore since Yuka-chan was asleep she didn’t really feel like getting up just yet.

Of course, there was also the little fact that if Yuka woke up, Ikuto was going to have problems taking care of her by himself if his parents weren’t home yet. And well, putting Ikuto-kun in a situation where he could freak out was just too mean for her to seriously consider doing, even if she was tired and it was getting late. Besides, it wasn’t like her parents didn’t trust her around her friend, so it shouldn’t matter all that much about her staying here…

Chika took a deep breath, closing her eyes for the briefest of moments.

But apparently that was enough for everything to change the instant that she opened her eyes again. She wasn’t in the Noguchi’s living room. And she was somehow on the floor instead of a comfy couch. She bolted up, looking around a bit frantically. This… couldn’t be happening. Where was she?

Wherever she was, it sure looked like there had been a fight a while ago. Like, Digimon blasting apart the walls type of fight. It was a bit disturbing, especially considering how dark it was here and the fact that she wasn’t where she was a second ago.

And then a large TV suddenly turned on, and Chika stared over at it. Whoever that guy who was saying this stuff was, at least she was getting answers…

Wait. Hold on. Fighting. Her. As in her being someone who’d fight in a war. That… she wasn’t sure she was going to be able to do that. Even if this thing had brought her here for that purpose and gave her powers. She wasn’t like Masaru, she didn’t like fighting things like that.

She trembled a bit as the explanation finished, trying to think about what she could really do. She was told that she could just avoid fighting, but was she really going to be able to do that? Could she live with herself if she didn’t try to help people in this fight that needed them to bring people from other worlds in to help?

She took a deep breath, and started walking as she and the others around her were herded towards some place where they’d be staying for a little bit.

She really had a lot to think about.
