I went out to a movie and dinner with 3 of my coworkers last night. We went to Uptown to see Bride & Prejudice (a Bollywood meets Hollywood movie). Then we found a little place called Blu (I think) to eat at. We tried a couple more popular places first, but the wait was 45 minutes to 90 minutes long. I've been wanting to see that movie... It's from the same director as 'Bedn it like Beckham', which is a brilliant movie, in my humble opinion. :) What did you think about 'Bride & Prejudice'?

I thought it was pretty good. I was told that the musical numbers were cheesy because they were sung in English instead of Hindi, like Indian movies usually are, but I've never seen a Hindi movie before, so I didn't notice a difference. :)

It's not really an Indian movie though, is it? If all the dialogue is in English, why sing the songs in Hindi? Ah well. I didn't even know it had songs in it, now I *really* want to see it. I love movies with cheesy songs. :)

Nah, I wouldn't really consider it Indian. The first song is in Hindi actually, but they give you subtitles. Yeah, it's a musical. I got a couple of the cheesy songs stuck in my head. LOL
