Get your elbow checked out! It sounds like you pulled some kind of muscle- I've experienced something similar! Anyway, if you can, at least hold off lifting anything heavy with that arm! Or get a brace!

About the freshmen- well it seems like every other year or so we get a group of exclusionists. LOL... it comes in waves. Maybe you guys can help break the cycle. Good luck~!
