I absolutely looove the new one you just bought: simplicity 1617 (1954). SO CUTE. WANT.
Also, simplicity 7635 (1968) is so cuuuute! If you ever got to make dresses for selling/a show again, this would be ADORABLE. Totally understandable if it doesn't work on you, though; I'm not sure if it would work on me either. I tend to prefer things with defined waists or else I want to cinch belt it. But still waaaant.
And I want vogue 7313 (1988)'s red skirt SO BAD. It is ridiculous!
I have a whack of old patterns (most from the 80s, I think) from when my mom used to sew. If you wanted any of them, I'd love to send them to you sometime. I should have money one day soon, so wee! And now I'm going to go dig out those patterns to see if there is anything cute! (I know there is, like, neon tracksuits in there. WOW.)

i just got 1617 in the mail today, so imma try to make it once i move (bc it is too cold in here to sew!) and that vogue pattern, omfg.
i love old patterns, esp from the 80s so will TOTALLY take them if you want to send them to me :D just tell me how much shipping is and i'll paypal you some cash$$$. haha i hope there are tracksuits in there, i need a custom tracksuit.
