(fanfic) Misfits

Summary:They are misfits, so quite obviously, they belong together.
1.
Okay alright, Jaejoong thinks, so I have powers over water, alright; that’s cool. He snaps his fingers and the tap in his kitchen bursts and there is water everywhere. His parents ground him for a week.
2.
Yunho sets things to fire; he learns this when he’s trying to figure out a way to start a bonfire when he’s out camping with his school friends. It’s quite dangerous, but Yunho’s sixteen and he’s always been fascinated with fire. But it’s not so fascinating when he sets his dog’s kennel on fire. The dog, luckily, was out for a walk.

Junsu can fly; he thought he was going to slip off the parapet on his roof and fall down and break his head, but he can fly. He feels light weighted and happy when he’s hovering mid-air. It doesn’t strike him till he lands on the floor, that maybe he has superpowers.

Yoochun’s the master of music; he can play any instrument to his happiness. He also, has enough powers to make things grow, like plants and trees and fruits and vegetables. He uses it carefully, calculating when to and when not to. He is quite pleased with himself; it’s the best thing that’s happened to him in this lifetime.

Changmin can read a person’s mind. He’s a manipulative bastard like that.

Jaejoong, one day, sees a boy by the beach standing way too close to fire. He washes the fire away and the boy whirls around and stares at him, the fire burning in his eyes. This is only the beginning, Jaejoong thinks.

Yoochun’s making music in his garden when a boy crash lands into his grassy path; the boy is all smiles and laughter. Yoochun asks him if he is okay and offers him juice. The boy calls himself Junsu and Yoochun thinks, maybe they can be friends.

Changmin already knows that these four have respectively met and sometime soon, he knows they are going to meet him.

The five of them end up meeting under a bridge, they are all tired but they are happy to be alive. Changmin notices the attraction between Jaejoong and Yunho; it’s funny, he thinks, water and fire. Love and attraction is not my game, Changmin admits to himself as he turns away from Jaejoong and Yunho

But Changmin can’t help but kiss Yoochun back, when the latter kisses him while everyone is fast asleep.

We were meant to meet, Changmin tells the other four, one day while they are all standing together watching the rising sun. We were meant to be.

Yunho brings all of them together, holds them tightly; we’re Gods, he tells them. And our time has come. No one protests or argues back, because damn right, they are Gods.
