previous Yunho stared at her.
She was gorgeous, despite how pale she looked. She was beautiful. She looked like a porcelain doll; he would have liked to know her. He was sure he would like her if he had met her on different circumstances.
“Hello.” Yunho smiled, giving her a ninety degree bow. “I am your brother in law, my name is Jung Yunho.”
And the only reply he got were the beeping from the machines.
He pulled the chair and sat down next to her; “Hang in there, I don’t know anything about you but I know that my brother wouldn’t have left his family for someone who wasn’t worth it. I hope you pull through.”
“I don’t know what to say.” Yunho continued. “I think you’re really beautiful and that my family would have liked you too. Maybe the both of you should have stayed a bit longer and tried convincing the parents instead of running away, maybe we would have met over barbecue and beer instead in a crummy hospital, huh?” Yunho chuckled.
“I am sorry about your husband, my brother. I hope he was a good husband and I hope he provided you with everything you wanted and kept you happy. Did he tell you stories about me? I guess he did, I always annoyed him. Please pull through, a part of my brother lives in you and I don’t want to lose that too, please.”
Yunho choked on the last few words and quickly wiped his tears before they could fall.
“I am going to take your leave now,” He said, standing up and bowing to her again. “I’ll see you soon, my Noona’s flying down, and you’ll like her. Take rest, goodbye.”

Jaejoong walked up to the morgue with heavy breaths, he didn’t want to see this man but he was family and in some twisted way, Jaejoong had to pay him respect.
“Jung Jinho.” Jaejoong said, looking at the doctor who sat outside the morgue. “He’s was my brother in law.”
“Ah, yes.” The doctor nodded. “Come this way, please.”
Jaejoong followed the doctor into the morgue and tried his best to ignore the chilly feeling that travelled down his spine. Jaejoong tried not to cringe when the doctor pulled the sheet of the body.
“Could I have a moment, please?”
The doctor spared Jaejoong a look of surprise before walking out.
“You must the man my sister left her family for.” Jaejoong looked at the lifeless body after the doctor had left.
“I’m Kim Jaejoong, your brother in law. I hated you till yesterday, I may or may not still hate you but I feel bad for your family. They lost a son and my sister is still somewhat alive and I am sorry. I’m sorry your life ended, I’m sorry we never got to know each other. I am sure you kept my sister happy otherwise she wouldn’t have stayed away from home this long.”
Jaejoong took a sharp breath and looked at the body; he was obviously a good looking man, or at least he was. Jaejoong could tell; he had royal features, a sharp nose, defined jaw line and he also knew that his sister was someone to fall for personality and not looks and Jaejoong concluded that this man was a charismatic man.
“I guess you were worth it.” Jaejoong chuckled, clenching his fists at his sides. “I’ll be leaving now, hope you rest in peace and that you lived a satisfying life.”
Jaejoong exited the morgue, giving a final nod to the doctor present there. He still had to figure out a way to tell his parents, tell them that their daughter whom they tried so hard to forget was now fighting for her life and that the son in law they never knew was dead.
Dead before anyone in their family had the chance to really know him. He walked, dragged his feet really, towards his sister’s ward. He fiddled with his cell phone, contemplating on ways to tell his parents.
When he reached the ward, he was welcomed by a woman sitting outside the ward. She was a petite and sharp looking woman. She looked up when Jaejoong got closer; “Kim Jaejoong?” she asked, standing up.
Jaejoong nodded numbly. “And you are?”
“Kwon Boa, Eun Mi’s colleague. I just heard the news and I came rushing here. I am so sorry.”
“Ah.” Jaejoong nodded and sat down beside her. “It’s alright.”
“How is she holding up?”
“She’s critical, her breathing is unstable and one of her lungs may be punctured and she’s too weak for surgery. That’s the doctor’s report.”
“Oh. And Jinho?” Boa asked, sitting down.
“He. He died on the spot.”
Boa gasped, bringing her hand to her mouth. “What?!”
Jaejoong shut his eyes tightly and let out a heavy breath. “Yes, he died because of the impact. My sister was lucky.”
“Dear God.” Boa covered her face with her hands. “This is bad.”
“You knew them? As, as a couple?” Jaejoong asked lamely.
“What? Yes, yes of course I knew them.” Boa looked at him like he had grown three heads. “They were one of the most envied couples in the town. They were always so happy.”
At that, Jaejoong felt light, like as though something heavy had been lifted off his shoulders.
“I know the whole story,” Boa continued. “running away from home at such a young age, defying their parents, being stupid and Eun Mi always spoke about you.”
“She did?” Jaejoong perked up.
“Oh, of course she did. Every time we went out shopping it was always Jaejoong would have liked this or Jaejoong would look so smart in this, I wonder how Jaejoong looks now. She used to celebrate your birthday every year without fail, it was a tradition at their household to celebrate all their family members’ birthdays. Jinho was the one to come up with it.”
Jaejoong felt something warm spreading in his chest, his eyes pricked and he just really wanted to talk to his sister.
“But, Jaejoong-sshi, there’s something more important to take care of now.” Jaejoong sat up straight and looked at the worry etched on Boa’s face. “Has anyone from Jinho’s family come to claim his body?” Boa asked.
“I am not sure, we could check at the reception.”
“Then, please let’s.” Boa said, standing up. “It is completely necessary that we meet someone from Jinho’s family.”

Yunho stood outside the hospital, his sister was on her way to Korea. She was flying down from Italy in the next flight. He pulled out a cigarette and lit it. Once his sister would come down they could figure something out together. Yunho hated this feeling, this feeling of being helpless, of not being able to do something.
He felt someone put a hand on his shoulder, he turned around and he was faced with a small woman and a man, who eerily resembled his sister in law.
“Yunho? Jung Yunho?” The woman asked, looking at him.
“Y-yes?” Yunho felt his chest tightening, something told him this wasn’t exactly good news.
“I am Kwon Boa.” She spoke. “I was a friend of Jinho’s and Eun Mi’s.”
“Oh. Hello.” Yunho offered, stubbing his cigarette. “Nice to meet you.”
“This is Jaejoong, Kim Jaejoong.” Boa pointed to the man behind her. “He’s Eun Mi’s brother.”
“Oh.” Yunho looked at the man and nodded curtly and the man nodded back with equal manner.
“I am so sorry about your brother, Yunho.” Boa spoke. “I heard the news and it’s very unfortunate.”
“Yeah, well.” Yunho tried to smile. “Death is definite, you know?”
Boa pointedly looked past Yunho’s meek joke and shook her head; “No, this is serious.” She took her wallet out of her bag and pulled out a picture. “The both of you need to see this.”
Jaejoong walked past Boa and stood next to Yunho and watched as the latter took the photo from Boa’s hand. He watched as Yunho’s eyes widened with shock and the colour from his face drained.
He took the photo from Yunho’s hand and felt his heart stop.
“That’s Jiyool.” Boa spoke as Jaejoong stared at the picture of his sister and Jinho hugging a small girl. “She’s their four year old daughter.”
“They were coming to the city to actually meet their families for the weekend. They couldn’t stay away any longer and asked me if I could babysit Jiyool for the weekend.” Boa sighed.
“The both of you are currently looking at your four year old niece.”
