Dear rarewomen exchange author,
First off, hi! I am so excited to have you as my author, and I look forward to seeing what you write ♥.
General things: I am totally happy with any rating that you want to write. If you go with nc17, please bear in mind that I'm very much not a fan of noncon, although if you think dubcon fits your story then I trust your judgement and I'm cool with it. As far as kinkfic goes, I'll admit to having a slight fondness for breathplay and light d/s, although if it's het, i'd prefer the woman be the dominating one. Again, of course, whatever works best for your story is totally awesome and fine, though. I am cool with gen, het, or femslash, although obviously keep the (rare) woman as the central focus. I've put in some ship suggestions, but I'm extremely open-minded when it comes to ships and as long as it's kept IC I can dig just about anything :) I enjoy angsty fic, although I prefer it when there's a happy or at least hopeful ending, and I'm just as happy reading fluff as I am angst. Fic where characters learn to work together (by overcoming their differences, overcoming their own fears, whatever) is my absolute favourite. Besides that, I'm also a fan of UST, friendly bickering, people understanding each other intimately, women standing up for one another, action/adventure, undercover spy-type stuff, understated h/c, and well, awesome women being awesome :) But most of all I'm a fan of whatever it is you want to write. Everything I've just mentioned and everything I'm about to say are just suggestions, and if you've got an idea you want to run with that doesn't match any of them that is totally fine <3 I have complete faith in you.

Circle of Magic: This is maybe my favourite of Tamora Pierce's series. I'd be totally happy with any of the women nominated for this exchange, because they're all totally excellent. If you're doing something about Tris, Daja, or Sandry, I'd love to see fic set post-Namorn, dealing with the fallout of their revelations in their shared dream at the very end of The Will of the Empress, or maybe about them dealing with their living situations, since none of them were all too happy with how it was at the beginning of that book. If you're writing fic that centers on the relationship as a whole circle, obviously Briar is more than welcome, but please be sure to focus mostly on the girls. If you're thinking of only writing about one or two of the circle, Daja and Tris are my faves and anything about their relationship, or Daja becoming more confident in her sexuality, or Tris kicking ass at Lightsbridge, would be awesome :) If you'd rather write about Lark and/or Rosethorn, I'd love to read something pre-series, maybe about how they met and fell in love, or a story of what deeds of great renown they did to become recognized as Great Mages, or even just everyday slice of life stuff. Ships: Lark/Rosethorn, Tris/Briar, Daja/Sandry, Daja/Tris, Sandry/Briar, (really any combination of two or more of the circle t b h.) Again, though, gen is totally a-okay!
Old Kingdom: Another of my top YA series! I listed Sabriel and Lirael as my rare women for this series. Of the two of them, Lirael is my favourite going back years; I love how intelligent and understated and courageous she is. I love Sabriel, too, obviously, and I find her backstory super fascinating, how she went to school in a place where her skills and her magic were considered things of legend, but still went on to excel and to make friends and just be generally excellent. My ultimate dream fic for this fandom would be something set post-Abhorsen with the two of them travelling the Old Kingdom, slowly getting to know each other and, you know, defeating evil wherever it hides. But seriously, I'd be happy with pretty much anything you want to do with either of these women, because they're both fantastic and the world of the series is so interesting. Ships: I actually don't ship anything specific in this series, so I'm totally open to whatever you feel like writing! No incest, though, please.
Dollhouse: I wound up selecting all of the women in this category except for Mellie, mostly, I admit, because Paul Ballard's lack of self-awareness gives me hives and most of Mellie's plotline revolves around him, and what doesn't revolves around the death of her daughter which I find supremely depressing. The main narrative of Dollhouse revolved around women regaining their agency, but some characters weren't given this respect (because of lack of time, idk.) Keeping that in mind, some things I'd be interested in seeing: an AU wherein Claire shot Topher instead of Bennett, and Bennett wound up being the one to assist the others, during the course of which she makes her peace with Caroline/Echo and eventually starts the apocalypse and stuff; just about anything about Ivy, who was adorable and awesome and whose fate post-Topher telling her to leave we never learn; I'd love to see Priya get some happiness and fulfillment post-series after all of the awful shit she's been through, or, keeping in the vein of post-series fic, anything about those that stayed underground would be cool; if you're feeling like writing something pre-series, I'd love to read about Adelle's rise to power, or her side of the chase for Caroline. Really, though, anything you're feeling is good! Fic for this fandom is so scarce that I would be super happy with anything you choose to write :) Ships: Caroline/Bennett, Dewitt/Dominic, Priya/Anthony, Mag/that lady from Epitaph 2 whose name I forget.
Fullmetal Alchemist: I'm going to be straight with you and say that I've only watched Brotherhood and read the manga, so please don't go with the 2003 version, if at all possible. My number one prompt for this fandom is post-series, Lan Fan and Mei on the trip back to Xing, cautiously learning to get along and be friends while Ling just laughs in the background. The interesting thing about these two is that they are both, as evidenced by their fight in Dr. Knox's house, very tied to the traditions of their families (as opposed to Ling, who just kinda does what he wants.) But now that there's a kind of reform headed for the country, they're not enemies anymore, and I think it'd be super interesting to see them deal with that and stop being so suspicious of each other, and eventually become friends because they're both fantastic and skilled and loyal and wonderful. If that's not a thing you're interested in writing, though, no pressure! Other things that would be cool (but are totally still suggestions): Izumi Curtis' third trip to Briggs, this time at the invitation of Olivier Mira Armstrong, in which all the other soldiers are totally terrifed and in awe of her while she and Olivier just have a grand old time; Paninya and Winry relaxing and/or having adventures in Rush Valley; really, any kind of friendship-centric fic would be delightful!/Ships: Winry/Paninya, Ed/Winry, Izumi/Sig, Lan Fan/Mei (although I'd prefer this one as pre-slash given Mei's age), Al/Mei. I don't personally ship Lan Fan/Ling particularly hard but if you'd like to write that or include it in some way that's totally okay!
Greek/Roman Mythology: I don't really have any specific prompts for you for these women, I'm afraid. Some things I'd be interested in reading about: why the goddesses listed chose the mortals they did as their champions/benefactees; any kind of AU retelling at all (my favourite AU genres are noir, sci-fi, and post-apocalyptic, although I'd really love just about anything); queer goddesses (for Artemis and Athena); fic wherein Eris is Clytemnestra's divine assistance in her revenge against Agamemnon; fic where Pandora knew exactly what she was doing; etc. Really, just anything celebrating these women's power and skill and love and brilliance would be amazing. Ships: anything goes, as long as Zeus isn't involved. Really.
