Moving out sucks nuts... moving out on any floor aside from the first is even worse. I feel your pain. I once had to move a 55+ inch big screen TV from a basement up a flight of stairs onto a U-haul. I then drove the U-haul for about 2 hours to our new place and then out of the U-haul and into our first floor (thank christ) apartment. It sucked, and that was just one thing.

To paraphrase Sheryl Crow, "A change can do you good." Sounds like you're about to go through a real-life enema. Congrats! (Ok, so maybe that wasn't the analogy you were looking for, but I've gotta stay charming.)

I hate moving also, I'm trying to remain positive about it though. This is also why I want to got through everything and get rid of anything that is not essential. I guess I'm in a Spring cleaning mode.
