i just finished reading "hopeful monsters" by nicholas moseley. in it one of the characters examines her role as an anthropolist, specifically examining the effect that her studying the culture as an anthropologist has on the culture (in addition to her normative studies of the culture)

the whole book was an examination of loops, and obtuse (yet unerringly prevalent) relationships between things like physics and philosophy, etc.

you'd dig it.

blah. 'twas interesting.
