i didn't go to the graduation thing at the church when i graduated for the same reason, but afterwards i was sad that i didn't and i felt like i missed out.

I graduated college inabsentia for those same EXACT reasons...And I have NO regrets whatsoever! Be proud of what you accomplished, because there are many of us who are proud of you too!
