My father keeps saying that we should move back to Russia. Until Dimitri sat him down and reminded him of the things that we had to go through there. This was bad. But I don't want to go back there. Never. If we did, the pain would never end.

It was terrifying. I'd never seen someone die before. I saw death. Mother. And I've seen horrible things. But I never saw them die. I've never seen anything like that...

No one should have to see anything like that.

If you need to talk to someone who understands... I have seen things like that. They were soldiers, not children, but I saw it. Any time you might want to talk, I'll be there for you.
