And as it does, it gets closer to my cut-off date and marches inexorably closer to the conclusion that I will be in the military soon without a real job offer. The thought doesn't bother me, I guess that's a hallmark of my personality, but the thought has brought a much tougher exercise regime ( Read more... )

If you go into the military I'd really like to send you letters and care packages and stuff. Of course it's totally up to you. :)

I would of course like to get letters from you Jill! Unfortunately, care packages cause.. issues.. in Basic and AIT. Mainly, there's a HUGE list of stuff that you can't have until you've basically earned the right to have it. So, rather than going through that list it's easier to just send a nice letter.

I would love that Jill, just not while I'm in training (they tend to be very harsh about what you can and can't have during that time period.)

I would guess you'd do well in the military. Seems like your niche. But if I wanted to join a military, I'd go for the Zapistas. ;)
