A week ago I asked for prayer about calling Adele, my friend whose husband (Blake) died in the avalanche. Thanks for the prayers. I called her today, we talked for fifteen minutes or so. It's pretty amazing how writing something down actually helps you remember. When you posted that before, I wrote Adele's name down on a little scrap of paper, along with some other things/people I wanted to pray for, and get this: I actually prayed for her! I admit that it's super easy for me to get caught up in the things that only touch me directly, and I forget there's a big world out there. I also confess that I forget there's a big GOD out there too who hears our cry and cares for us.
I will continue to pray for Adele and for Blake's family.
