I love some of yours, but here is a list of my favs that are not on your list (and this took me forever to do as I could remember the people and story but NOT the titles).

A couple happen right after the wars, but include soldiers and take place as a result of the war.

1. Kelly's Heroes
2. The Dirty Dozen
3. The Guns of Navarone
4. Shindler's List
5. The African Queen
6. M*A*S*H
7. Glory
8. 1776
10. The Sound of Music
11. From Here To Eternity
12. South Pacific
13. On The Beach
14. Gone With The Wind
15. The Shadow Riders
16. Gallipoli
17. Master and Commander
18. All of the Horatio Hornblower movies with Ioan Gruffudd
19. Ditto the Sharpe's Rifles Movies with Sean Bean
20. The Great Dictator
21. The Hill
22. The Green Berets
23. Victory
24. The Bequiled

Oooo How could I forget Josey Wales "Buzzards gotta eat same as worms." Kelley's Hero's was a great movie too with a young Donald Sutherland, Clint Eastwood, and Don Rickles. I bed I have seen The Dirty Dozen at least a dozen times same goes with The Guns of Navarone. I had no idea Sharpe's Rifles was a movie. I have read a couple of the books. I didn't know about the Horatio Hornblower movies either. Good List!!

Most all of the Sharpes books were made into movies. They stray a bit form the books, but they have SEan Bean, so who cares?
