i had a long talk tonight
with one of my very closest friends
she is my family
and
she teaches me so much
i feel like i do the same for her
but no matter where we are
who we're with
or what we're doing
her words have profound effects on me.
this was a big subject we covered
and i felt the need to elaborate and share.
people come in to our lives for a reason
they have something to share or show
something to teach us or for us to teach them
to break our hearts or to show us real love
whatever the reason
the point is
THERE IS A REASON
they teach us
they enrich us
they better us
and then when their work is done
when the lesson is learned
when youve grown
when their purpose is fulfilled
they fade out of your life
they move on
you move on
better, smarter, deeper, more fulfilled
or hurt, broken hearted, and full of sorrow
either way you will have grown from the encounter.
the important part to remember
is to not mourn their loss
but to rejoice
in the gifts they given you
spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically....
we just need to remember
the things youve shared
the times you had
and keep those memories forever.
know that its ok for people to move on.
it doesnt make your friendship any less
or make them love you any less.
its just time.
this realization
might just make this
journey we call life
a little less blurry.
