1. what did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
i went to college. lived in an apartment. stood up for myself.

2. did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
i never keep my new year's resolutions, but i always make them.
a. finish reading the book of mormon a second time. (maybe even a third)
b. finish reading books that i've started.
c. return people's calls.
d. go to a real university.

3. did anyone close to you give birth?

4. did anyone close to you die?
no thank you

5. what countries did you visit?
america

6. what would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
4.0, a car, a boyfriend.

7. what date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
5/4, madison nicole.

8. what was your biggest achievement of the year?
i learned how to dislike people, but still love them.
i made a home for myself away from home.
i made friends.
i made good grades.

9. what was your biggest failure?
i complain too much.

10. did you suffer illness or injury?
when i first moved to utah i thought i was going to die from a cold and went to the doctor. good thing my school medical insurance didn't work for crap.

11. what was the best thing you bought?
i love my scanner. and shoes shoes shoes. dear target, i love your shoes.

13. whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
dororthy's. seriously, ugh. and mine sometimes too of course.

14. where did most of your money go?
to wal mart. i saved all my receipts and totalled them up before i came home for christmas. 822 dollars in four months. thanks wal mart, for consuming my money, love, your consumer.

15. what did you get really, really, really excited about?
coming home for christmas.

16. what song will always remind you of 2005?

17. compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? happier. last year nathan got married and i was so lonely and depressed all the time.
ii. thinner or fatter? fatter. i'm always fatter.
iii. richer or poorer? spiritually and mentally richer! i have no money, but at least i have a job. i didn't have a job this time last year.

18. what do you wish you'd done more of?
reading. practicing my violin. overcoming my fears of everything. and studying, of course.

19. what do you wish you'd done less of?
playing on the computer. watching tv. the usual.

20. how will you be spending Christmas?
i spent it just fine. i loved being with my family. i LOVE my family!!! more than the world and everything in it.

22. did you fall in love in 2005?
i fell in like.

23. how many one-night stands?
never.

24. what was your favorite TV program?
in the summer i had a whole line up and i watched dr.phil every day. i dont watch as much tv now, because i'm always busy.

25. do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
i strongly dislike someone. i'm sure you could all guess who.

26. what was the best book you read?
i only start books. but i really love(d) my name is asher lev. i've been reading it for the past six months.

27. what was your greatest musical discovery?
the beatles. i always only had let it be and help. now i have everything but srgt. pepper's and rubber soul.

28. what did you want and get?
i wanted a texas sweatshirt. and a quoteable mug. i got both.

29. what did you want and not get?
a 4.0. whos fault is that?

30. what was your favorite film of this year?
i loved narnia, but i think i only say it cause its so recent. i watched you've got mail a million times. prime was probably my least favorite, besides serenity. omg.

31. what did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
i turned 18. i didn't do anything during the day...went to school probably. then at midnight my brothers surprised me by coming over and we all went to katz's. i remember i was mandy moore and i wore my white pointy shoes.

32. what one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
a car. owning a car would have smoothed out a lot of complications.

33. how would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
femininity is important when you are a woman. also, class.

34. what kept you sane?
church, my mom's phone calls, letters in the mail, chocolate.

35. which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
i still like mandy moore. and emmy rossum is beautiful.

36. what political issue stirred you the most?
hurricane katrina.

37. who did you miss?
i miss the idea of my life in austin.
i miss my family.
i will miss christopher brown.

meagan krietlein and catie hinson.

its okay to not get along with people. accept it, love them, and move on.
dont date guys who are serious about wearing their headlamp on a walk.
