I think its sexist of me that I agree with all these except the women characters. LOL.

Or its because they suck at writing compelling women. Except for Jules. But thats another example of an actor or actress on Lost carrying dialogue and character development. I thought Cassidy was atrocious. Maybe its that 'girl gab' time was just way too cheesy and lame for Lost. It was as if the writers didn't know how to write women so they watched Lifetime for a few hours. But I'll take your word for it, maybe it was well done. My male side just sees that and has the instinct of leaving the room.

Naomi was just a case of a bad actress. Her character had the writing to be cool.

Patchy HAS to come back. It would be so awesome if he just pops up and knocks some character out and gives some quippy line.

I liked her in The Long Con because she was quick and called Sawyer on his shit. She was like a less retarded version of Kate. Lets be honest, as much as Kate can kick ass, use guns, and be a mommy -- she's flat out stupid most of the time. So seeing her Cassidy be a refreshing, more intelligent, version of Kate was nice to see. Plus there was something more likable about how it wasn't as superficial and shallow as his relationship with Kate. Cassidy is kinda cute, but definitely not hot. So I thought that was an interesting look at Sawyer. That he can fall for someone and she doesn't have to be gorgeous.

I guess you're right, it was a expository character. Sawyer jumping from the chopper was the same as him conning Cassidy. He didn't want that relationship with either of those women. Or it just didn't feel right to him. However when it was Julesus, he was ready to marry her and spend the rest of his days with her in Otherton. I like that Kate's choice gave Sawyer the upperhand at least. I thought for the entire series he was going

Secondary characters are just so much more interesting than the main characters. Take Keamy for an example, um I hate him (lol) but I'd totally be more interested in his story than any other main characters (not that we need to no more about them) and this includes Naomi. I agree with Patchy though, he doesn't need a back story. Right now he just needs to show up and kill everyone and by everyone, I mean everyone in the temple. :P
