Being in a "foreign country" makes me think a lot more about stereotypes. I don't really consider Taiwan as a foreign country much anymore, other than a huge language barrior (mostly due to my inability to learn as quickly as I'd like and my good pronounciation leading to people thinking they can just speak in chinese - which I guess is good

Well, there's making assumptions and then there's hurting people. It's hard to tell the difference when people let their own feelings get in the way. Anyway... I used to rant about stereotypes all the time. I came to learn that it's a human habit for convenience sake. Think of it as your computer always having a default setting to save time. *shrugs* I dunno. I just woke up from a nap so my brain is a lil wonky. How often are you in Taiwan?
