Having just spent most of Saturday going through my receipts and bank statements I was understandably upset when Zen, my long term ISP, saw fit to warn me they would about to charge me more money. Are the stats for the two lines the same? ie attenuation, noise etc. ?

didn't check. I've been told that the one line that's feeding the two into my flat isn't capable of supporting two ADSL lines.

So, your take is that getting rid of either line will improve performance of the other?

yup, that's what I'm going for. Not sure if that makes any real sence in a scientific way but I know that having two lines running off cabling (not relly) designed for one isn't going to give the best results.
