What defines the line between someone intellectually challenging you and someone being a pedant? The difference between the two is just a matter of degree, but you attribute a separate (or at least seemingly separate) underlying cause to each.
I'm also curious what you think your physical preferences are--I thought about mine, then thought about previous girlfriends, and there are patterns (weirdly colored hair, nice ass) that stick out in all of them. That's weird, so now I'm wondering.
When I make my comment about the pedantry, it reflects directly on an old relationship I used to have. The guy didn't challenge me intellectually, he just went out of his way to try to make me feel as stupid as possible. If I ever said anything, I was wrong. And he would beat me down over and over about how I was wrong. Even if I was actually right, it didn't matter, because he needed to be the smart one and me be the dumb one that looks up to him. I don't need jackassery.
As for physical, well... in THEORY I like people with dark hair and pale skin with either very dark eyes or vivid blue/green. On girls I like freckles. I apparently also like weight. Everyone I've ever dated has been overweight. One of them was actually quite ripped and I made him get pudgy by feeding him all the time.
Not as interesting as I'm sure you thought it would be.
I agree especially on your points about intellectually challenging and the spaz bit. Besides being a spaz myself automatically knocks me out of the running, even if I help you edit :)
