AGH....I got some viruses from Kazaa, and I can't get rid of them! I scanned the comp with Norton and found them, but it wouldn't let me delete them (three files) because access was denied. WTF?? How am I supposed to get rid of them ( Read more... )

first of all a lot of stuff u can't delete. it'll say it's being used at the moment (access denied). which isn't really good that it's being used at the time but ya the operating system won't let u delete it. so u need to use Nortan Anti-Virus or some other virus/worm thing. this way it'll try and "fix" it or "cure it". which is really just stop it. u'll probably still have some to a lot of files corrupted but just do it as soon as possible. before u have to reformat u'r whole hard drive. good luck

Yeah, I did use Norton to scan the entire system, and I found the worms, but I still couldn't delete them. So now whenever I turn on the comp...the Norton virus alert thing pops up. And I looked up the two worms on the website and I think they don't do much damage, but still. I think my mom is gonna have to call someone if we want those things removed.

I just checked my email and it scanned 9 attempted virus infections. Of course, I can't get any of them, considering I'm on a mac. =D All it did was show strings and strings of text in the email, about 40 pages of it. Hahaha. ANd people say macs suck. Heh.
