With two sisters, I've been woken up in a variety of obnoxious ways, but I have to say that nothing has been as bad as being woken up by my neighbors screaming obscenities at each other in their yard and they're on the side of the house that my bedroom is on so I got to hear all of it, but I can't really figure out what it is that they were

Try shifting rooms, Shin. Your living room is at the other end of the house, right? Set up a futon in there.

That's not exactly a better option, given that my parents get up early and were awake before all the yelling started so I would have been woken up even earlier if I was in the living room versus my room so I odn't know that it'll fix things. I just want to tell them that they should be more considerate when fighting, but Mom won't let me say anything so I'm considering investing in ear plugs just in case this happens again.

I was going to suggest talking to them, but, yeah, I figured your mom wouldn't let you. Ear plugs may be the best thing, then. Or how early do your sisters get up? Try swapping with them or sleeping on their floor.

The girls heard it, too, which is the main reason why I'm surprised by Mom's unwillingness to say anything since she hates when they hear curse words. I'll probably end up with ear plugs and maybe Mom will get them for the girls so that they don't hear anything like that again at least when Mom can't tow them away.

Geez, Shin, even though your family is kinda normal, your neighbors more than make up for it.

They really are screwed up and incapable of keeping that information to themselves which is really annoying, but I donht sforsee them mloving any time soon so I'll just have to invest in ear plugs.

I'd say do some of your own yelling and shouting of obscenities in return, even if your mother says to not to do it. It might get them to tone it down if they realize how noisy they're being. Besides, what does your mother think they're gonna do if you do do it? Yell some more? I'm not seeing how that's any different from what you're dealing with right now. So actually taking some form of action may help put an end to it so you and your sisters can get some sleep.

Mom doesn't want us to get into fights with the neighbors so she told me not to say anything and she's my Mom so I'm not going to ignore what she tells me.
