i've always been very interested in music scene related literature, especially fiction and history. some suggestions:

Please Kill Me: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk by Legs McNeil (Editor), Gillian McCain (Editor)

The Philosophy of Punk: More Than Noise by Craig O'Hara

Dance of Days: Two Decades of Punk in the Nation's Capital by Mark Andersen, Mark Jenkins

We Owe You Nothing, Punk Planet : The Collected Interviews by Daniel Sinker (Editor)

Tales of a Punk Rock Nothing by Jamie Schweser, Abram Shalom Himelstein

Amped : Notes from a Go-Nowhere Punk Band by Jon Resh (this one is amazing for any fla kid - its written by the lead singer of spoke and has alot of fla history in it)

Salad Days by Charles Romalotti

Despite Everything by Aaron Cometbus

are you looking to buy or just get?

the library should have please kill me...amped is like $4 from no idea, which should also have salad days, tales of a punk rock nothing, cometbus etc. the good things about these books is that they are all writeen by real punk rock kids - not pseudo intellectuals over annalyzing a hip/underground movement. they're pretty easy to find through most distros.

if you feel like laughing and you haven't read either me talk pretty one day or naked by David Sedaris read that, i seriously love those two books.

I like Rohald Dahls stuff for adults as well, you should check it out.

lately i've just been way into short stories... i'll think of some more stuff and let you know.
