Poison Oak is evil evil shit. I grew up on a schooner on the East Coast. So until recently I had zero experience with poison oak, and no real experience with poison ivy either. My main experience with plants is with the type that are on my dinner plate

the other takeaway is, get the poison oak soap and make sure to shower in lukewarm water within two hours of doing your gardening. Wash all clothes and towels as well. I hear the more often you get poison oak the more likely and often you will get it and most likely it will be worse the next time away.
