Well. I didn't know a committee of astronomers could get together, just like that, and vote a planet out of planethood. In one fell swoop, that little, cold planet has been demoted to just another chunk of rock in space.

This has been an ongoing debate for some time and, I agree that, given the latest parameters of what constitutes a planet, Pluto is not one.

Things are constantly changing. I think it's harsh that, as humans, we require familiarity and yet are butting up against constant change our whole lives through.
