The View I Choose to See on a Daily Basis

May 15, 2015 07:05

It's been a while since I updated. And it will take even longer for me to make a proper update. But for now, I wanted to leave these photos here for your viewing pleasure.

The first two photos are the view I see when I pull into my "driveway". They were taken last November, shortly after I moved in.

Gorgeous. What a relaxing get-away from the hustle bustle of work.

You're not just whistling Dixie. Sadly there are developments that I haven't blogged about that make me want to get away from work permanently.Well, at least the current job.

That's amazing! Those views certainly make coming home an event. You're fortunate! Waiting on tenterhooks for your long overdue update (as I am, too) but in the meantime... who's your 2016 horse?

Thank you, Sir!

Yes, I enjoy being home in the evening when the sun is going down, driving into to that view and when the humidity isn't 1000% going for a walk around the lake.

Please do write soon. I have been curious to know what you and yours have been up to for the past good while now. I think the time has finally come to spill the beans.

P.S. I have observed that you've always utilized the Subject field on LJ when leaving comments.I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's always been annoying as we thread deep into a conversation. But it does, sometimes, give context, especially if the reply volley of comments are quite delayed from the original comment or if something is being mentioned from a comment higher up in the thread.

I would comment on how the iphone6 really takes good photos but I fear this would start you on an apple rant :P

What lovely views you have :) I hope that the views help you to relax and contemplate the meaning of life etc. when things get tough? I find good views do do that!

I will say that the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus do have an image processor right behind the sensor who's only job is to make the pictures you take look even better. You point the phone at the subject, compose the shot and the machine does all the rest making you look like a pro. Granted, with such a subject matter as I've showcased above, the picture really does take itself.

That having been said, the iPhone 6 is not a wundercamera. In the golden shots, the moon was quite visible in the sky to the naked eye. I think I could have done a better job capturing the moon had I had my bigger camera, although i'm not sure that I would have gotten the exposure right. So it's a bit of a give and take.

The views are lovely; you should come see them in person!

The views and, more specifically, the walking track around the lake came in handy during the week I took off after the "incident" (let's not speak of it in public.) Sadly though, there is still no real resolution to that story.

Harketh! There be life down south! snapper521 June 2 2015, 23:22:05 UTC
I'll never live this down, because I'm terrible about not blogging anymore, but I was honestly beginning to think something had happened to you, like injury or heaven forbid, death since you wouldn't answer the phone when I called or texts or e-mails.

Very glad to know you're still alive. :-)

As to your post, looks like you've moved up in the world from where your former apartment was located. Rather ritzy neighborhood compared to some of the housing divisions I've seen elsewhere. Good job Furbie! :-)
