Originally debuting across the pond, (England for those of you in Huntsville) Finding Neverland may be Johnny Depp's best performance yet. While this movie does not contain many (read any; for if they exist, the are subtle at best) Deppisms. Rather, it is a powerful portrayal of John Barrie, the creator of Peter Pan. I am beginning to realize that part of what makes a post good, is if in your writing about it, you cause me to want to watch it. To see if I have the same or a similar reaction to it. Was yet another well written post. ;-)

As you already know I enjoy Depp's acting abilities. Besides the fact that he is quite... good looking. *laugh* However I judge a man not by how he looks but how he acts when it comes to the movies I am "judging".

I liked MacKenzie Crook. ;-) He did a good job in Pirates. Put a bit of humor into the movie at just the right places. Though I must admit that without the other one his antics would not have been near as funny.

Does he have another actor that he plays off of in this movie also? Or is he being more serious/doing his comic relief on his own this time?

I think I only saw Finding Neverland twice and that was right when it came out. I don't quite remember MacKenzie's role in Neverland nor do I know a lot about him as an actor.

Neither do I. But I know that when I have seen him, he has acted as an almost "comic relief". In Pirates it was perfect. It lightened the mood just enough to keep the watchers both interested and "happy". Not feeling over whelmed with all of the more serious things going on around him.

There wasn't a serious moment in any of the Pirates movies.
