Unfortunate timing..(part one)

Before you read this I should probably warn you that its kinda random and the subjects don't flow as beautifully as they could. Instead of focussing on getting this journal to look/sound pretty I am just going to get it all out and then maybe do some follow up posts or something ( Read more... )

How much are you looking to spend on rent? I used to have a *wonderful* little one bedroom on the corner of 30th (roughly) and NE Burnside. The building wasn't much to look at on the outside, but the apartments were well-maintained and adorable, with 1920s-type built-ins and a clawfoot tub. The only drawback was that it was right on Burnside, which was a little noisy with the buses. If I'd gotten one on the other side of the building that wouldn't have been so bad. I paid around $445, and that inlcuded hot water and heat. My electrical was about $13 a month.
If you want, I'll try and dig up the landlord's phone number. I have a friend that moved into my place when I moved out, and he's still there nearly 3 years later.
And I know what you mean about PSU. It seems like they make students jump through hoops to attend. Then they set up things like the 'Freshman Inquiry' and Capstone program which are mostly just ways to get more money out of students.

Oh I would totally love if you found out about it. That is in my price range (although I shouldn't go much higher then that) especially if I have to pay for parking seperately.

Luckly I am transferring as a Junior so I only have to do the Junior cluster and the capstone instead of all four.

There's plenty of street parking since it's a residential neighborhood.
I'll see if I can get in touch with my friend that lives there.

yay.. thanks. I will totally put your friend down as the "referral" if it means they will get something cool out of it.
