"Ratch, are we going to our lookout spot?" He wonders cheerily, resting his head on Perceptor's shoulder and just absorbing the scientists' scent. "I remember when we found it. "Go hide again, and we'll be right after you," Wheeljack had assured him once he'd gathered his wits, a little embarrassed to be caught fooling around by Grimlock of all mechs. "I'll give you to the count of twenty. Ready? Go!"
Wheeljack sighs softly. "How are they? They're the closest we ever came to having a family, after all... They're our sons, in a way. And I haven't seen them since we got back... Do they know I'm okay? Primus, do they know about you?"

"Sludge and I spoke yesterday. They know you're here. Been giving you a little respectful privacy, I think, and then you had to run off and get yourselves kidnapped, so that kinda put a bit of a delay on things. They've... grown up. Sludge said you've been helping to keep an eye on them, Percy," Ratchet explains softly, a note of quiet thanks in his voice.
