When Tom called and said he was in New York she didn’t hesitate, not even for a minute.
“Hey! You should come over here!”
Just these few words made her insides scream with pain.
She would never say she wasn’t happy to be where she was and they were all so nice but she felt so, so alone.
Of course Tom wasn’t Rob but she didn’t care because she could finally have a little piece of him next to her and, well, Tom was one of her best friends.
God she missed them so much, all of them, her British boys.

She could ear his quiet laugh on the phone.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
He sighed.
“Because I thought it was better if he told you himself, it’s your movie, not mine.”
“Yeah, but… Okay, fair enough.”
“Are you happy?”
“Yeah, yeah so much! It’s going to be great! Well, not that I am really looking forward to being naked with him but I will have company when you are going back to London, so, yeah, I’m so happy.”
“He’s ecstatic.”
“I know, I’m so happy for him, he is such a great actor and it’s going to be amazing.”
“Well, I think it will have to be my favourite movie of all time, with my girl and my best friend in it, I can’t not love it.”

A lot of little girls dreamt about their wedding day, Kristen always dreamt about her first house and how she would decorate it.
At ten Kristen thought her first home would be with her husband, the love her of life, like mommy.
At sixteen, she thought her first home would be with Michael.

Now, she was twenty and she stood in the middle of the spare room, the one who would be a nursery some day, and she looked out of the window.
