productivity100 (#8) Bake/Baked/Baking - Domestic
What Rob loved the most about Kristen’s cooking was when she actually was cooking.
She seemed oddly domestic with her lacy apron and he never thought he would get to see her in this light, but he knew she loved to cook for him.
It always started when he was attracted to the kitchen by a delightful smell. He would sit in the middle of the room, watching her concentrate on cutting things, her little pink tongue coming out from between her lips, or dancing and singing at a song blaring out of the iPod dock.
It always ended with him putting his finger in the preparation and her hitting him with the wooden spoon.
(#72) Shindig - Wedding
Kristen didn’t write anything beforehand, she tried to but nothing came.
When the priest asked her for her vows, the words tumbled from her mouth.
“When I was little I always thought love was about grand gesture and eternal declaration of affection but it isn’t.
I love you because you always peel the onions, when I cook.
I love you because you snore so loud it makes me feel small and safe.
I love you because you always find a way to put a red pair of socks in the laundry and all my underwear comes out pink.
I love all your little’s imperfections and it’s why I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
(#75) Spring - Revival
She was a vision: the wind blowing in her hair, the setting sun drawing golden swirls on her brown locks.
He could picture her expression as she contemplated the reflection of the mountains in the lake, a cigarette dangling from her fingers.
He made his way to her and put his hands on the rail without disturbing her quiet thoughts.
She sighed and leaned back against his chest, inviting him into her peaceful moment, something he knew she wouldn’t, couldn’t do with anybody else and something he cherished with his whole soul.
