Wow! Gorgeously and powerfully written. Thomas is a character I've always been a bit unsure of, uncertain what to make of him and your brilliant insight here makes me feel I understand him a bit better. I love your writing and love this story!

Thank you so much, your comment means a lot! Writing is not something that comes easy to me, but I really felt that I needed to write something on Thomas' character. It was either fic or meta, and I dared writing some fic. I'm glad that what I wanted to tell came across!

Again, thank you!

I certainly couldn't tell that from your lovely work here! You write very elegantly, with just the perfect amount of description and a beautiful flow. I'm so glad you went the fic route and I really do hope you'll be writing more. :)

I so enjoyed this fic. Thomas is such an unlikable character that I was curious to see what you might do with him and I ended up loving getting this insight into him. I think you did a wonderful job at depicting that facade of his, and I especially liked how for one precarious moment it almost - but not quite - crumbles. Lovely work!

Oh, thank you, such a lovely comment! Yes, he is unlikable, but I also do feel sorry for him, because I can't see how his life could be anything else but a sad story, you know? To go through life hiding such a big part of himself, knowing others to think, and himself also thinking perhaps, that part wrong and ugly - to not become jaded and bitter under such circumstances must be very hard, I think.

I'm so sorry for the tardy reply, I've been on vacation! Anyway - thank you, I'm so glad you liked it! It's really nice to see that other people watched this character like I did.

As to if it will be more- perhaps! But at the moment I'm too excited for the second series to really be able to write anything :). I was so glad to see that they kept Thomas, and I'm really (even though with a bit of apprehension) looking forward to see how they will evolve his character, what the war will do to him. I thought he would be written out for the second series, like Gwen.

Again, thank you!

Oh my, poor Thomas (which is something I never thought I'd say). You've done a great job at fleshing him out, at making him sympathetic in a way that the show, as excellent as it is, has not yet managed to do.

Fantastic job.

Sorry for my lateness! Yes, I feel a lot of sympathy for Thomas. He's not a very pleasant person, but I can see why he would think that he can't afford pleasantness. I like to think the second series is fleshing him out rather in the direction I tried to... Thank you so much for your comment, it really means a lot!
