improv, elizabethan-style

So, I've just finished the second week of the shakespeare festival performances, which are going pretty well. I, and the two guys that improv the pre-show with, have come up with a pretty entertaining pre-show. We kick ass. Here's my costume for 12th Night:

I play the role of the Magical Golden Mushroom. When it seems that all hope is lost, I fly in on the rigging and spread magical golden spores on all those who need a little happiness.

Actually, I'm 1st Officer. But whatever, my hat still looks funny. Also notice my big-ass dagger.

A couple weeks ago, after tech week ended so I wasn't working EVERY GODDAMN DAY FOR 12 HOURS STRAIGHT NO EXAGGERATION MAN IT SUCKED, my mom and I made margaritas (which I filled The Chalice with) and sat down and played some Scrabble. I beat her 247-205, which may not seem like a big deal to most of you, but my mom is really smart and knows a lot of words. This is the first time I have ever defeated her. Plus, we used every tile and our board was absolute perfection:

...except you'll notice that in the top left corner, I spelled "attune" wrong. Fortunately, I was not challenged.

I've been spending some time in East Lansing on my really busy days between having 2 Saturday performances and a Sunday matinee, since it's closer to the theater than Chelsea is. Luckily Elise and Kelly are nice enough to lend me their couch. Along with dancing around in a cold and slippery fountain (dyed green, for MSU. I feel dirty), highlights also include this:

The Best Fuckin' Belgian Waffle Ever. Made from scratch by me and Elise! Normally our cooking adventures are disasters, but this one was awesome. And yes, that is Cool-Whip. And yes, it was delicious.

To finish up, assuming Kelsey was referring to me in her tag:

top 5 reasons i'm a dork
1.)I can't even count the hours I've spent playing Diablo II this week.
2.)I really love the feeling you get when you complete a really hard physics problem. I mean I REALLY love it.
3.)I think I'm a wizard because streetlamps flicker off when I drive underneath them. Relatively consistently too, it's been happening more lately.
4.)I get all the jokes on G4, and am in love with Morgan Webb.
5.)Uh, did you see my last entry? Actually, the last TWO? Not only do I giggle when I see a sign that says "zig" on it, but I get really excited when scientists re-animate dogs, especially now that Schinzer has pointed out that they have just accomplished the same effect that is done in Gungrave.

...and Gungrave would lead us toward 300 other reasons why i'm a dork. But we won't go there today.

One more weekend and I'm done with Shakespeare Festival! Then I can start offering myself as a guinea pig for science full-time. This is my new career.
