Summerfest is kickass. I don't know what I was thinking this would be like, but I have to say what it has turned out to be was drastically unexpected. We're performing the dance choreography for the song "Bye, Bye, Blackbird" from the show "Fosse." It's hard-- especially having never danced. And I definitely do not have a dancer's physique. Hello. I noticed you were into singing and I am as well. I was trained in opera. What kind of training did you do? Its always nice to encounter fellow artists

I've never taken formal vocal lessons, actually, but I'm majoring in music at school so I'm around singers a lot and have picked up some things. It's very admirable that you were trained in opera. This Summerfest thing is taking me through the steps to become a great belter for musical theater, and after the program is over I plan on taking some actual lessons for technique with the teacher I'm studying with there. So yay for that.

I'm doing health stuff, too. I've decided that if I do as much as I can for an hour a day I may finish it before I realize what a pain in the ass it really is. It's so dumb.

I'm good! You should come and see "Cats" at Virginia-Samford some time! I'm playing in the orchestra, so you could wait out back for me and we could chat. Bring friends! Tomorrow they're having a $15 for 2 people day. :D
