The Fourth Flight [Action]

[He had been laying low long enough. If anyone had remembered or realized the connection between the Red Wing symbol and his batsuit, they would have acted by now. Or at least confronted him. He couldn't hide anymore, not when Batman had a job to do. The glance out the window had told him plenty about the weather. Icy, cold, and plenty of snow on ( Read more... )

[The question becomes, has Terry been avoiding his new housemate for the few days he's been there? Whether they've met or not, whenever Terry drags himself back, John will be up at the crack of dawn the next day, sipping his morning coffee.]

((ooc: Just fyi on the smithy, both Sokka and Winry are kidnapped at the moment.))

[Long night of patrol. Need food...need sleep. Can't English. Terry swooped down to his window, prying it open as he had countless times in the past before sliding into the room proper. Pulling off his cowl, he walked down the hall into the kitchen only to draw to a halt at the sight before him.] Whoa...um, so...new housemate I take it?

[There's a nod as John gives Terry a look over. This is his first time seeing the kid without a mask on. Huh, how about that.]

John Stewart. I take it you're Terry?

[Whoa, the...wait, hold on...A Green Lantern! Specifically, one of the Justice League founders. Sheesh, how many did we manage to fit under one roof?] Yeah, right on the first try.
[Terry scratched and ruffled his hair, nothing worse than cowl-hair.] I take it the old man told you about me?

[With both Sokka and Winry kidnapped, Edward is the only one working at the weapon shop these days, meaning he's been double-shifting it for a few days. He'll still be there when Terry stops by, though.]

[The patrol done for the most part, Terry peered in through the window, finding neither the boomerang-ponytail guy or the girl with the tricked out dog. Hmm, must be the nightshift then. Oh well, time to make some introductions. With the ease of practice and experience, he opened the window and slid in quietly. When he was sure the man was not in the middle of anything time sensitive or dangerous if he was startled, Batman made himself known.] Ahem.

[jhhskhfk WHERE DID HE COME FROM

Edward jerks and stands alert, eyes widening at the sudden appearance of the cowled man. What in the world is he sneaking around for? Is he dangerous? And if not, what the heck is wrong with the door? Startled, he's a little more disgruntled than usual. (Which is probably saying something.)]

What do you want?

[He held his hands up in a sign of peace and to show he wasn't armed...at least not now.] Don't worry, I'm a friend. Came here to place a commission.

[Winry was kidnapped. And to some, probably still is. At night fall a blonde boy no one has seen around before tip-toes to the smithy. Care to check out the suspicious activity, Batman?]

[Landing atop a nearby building, Batman surveyed the area. It was a relatively quiet night, the snow and cold keep most inside by the time the sun set. No sign of Winry or the boomerang guy though. Dammit, now he'd have to wait even lon--hold up. Who's this guy? He hadn't seen him before around town, but that wasn't saying much. News about a batch of new people arriving during his time keeping low hadn't escaped him, but that meant a bunch of faces to try and commit to memory.

Either way, what's this guy doing out so late and slinking towards the smithy? Only one way to find out. Detaching himself from the shadows of the rooftop, he leapt down from the building and landed silently down in a nearby alley, watching the newcomer from the darkness.]

[The boy peeks into a window of the building to see if anyone was still in the smithy. No surprise to the blonde, Edward was in there pulling night shift. A small white cloud leaves the mouth of the suspicious guy as he hisses to himself.]

Darn. How am I supposed to get in there without him seeing me?

[Just who is this guy? Looking at the building, he began to climb the side of the brick wall, letting the suit's controls grip the side. Snow would be too hard to move silently on and camouflage would be next to nothing. Also harder to maneuver in should a fight break out. No, for now, he'd play it subtle. Move in closer to hear and watch, but stay out of sight and out of mind until absolutely necessary. Jeez, how did the old man manage this in old Gotham?]
